  Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has lost his mother. Wizkid’s mum, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, died at around 1.30 am, Friday. The Economic Community of West African States has condemned the killing of at least seventeen Nigerien soldiers in a recent ambush close to the Mali border. In a statement released on Wednesday in response to the killing of the Nigerien soldiers, ECOWAS said that the country had become vulnerable as a result of President Mohamed Bazoum being ousted by the military coup. The West African bloc cautioned the coup plotters about the importance of adhering to its order by reestablishing constitutional order.
